Terms of Use
Effective 20 September 2026
Agreement
By downloading, installing or using Snagbox, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Snagbox is published by Snagbox (“we”, “us”).
Snagbox is distributed through the Apple App Store, so Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies. Where these terms and Apple’s standard EULA conflict on the licence itself, Apple’s EULA governs. Apple is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app, and its only obligations are those set out in its own EULA; you agree that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Snagbox on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law. We keep all rights in the app, its name, its design and its underlying software that these terms do not expressly grant to you.
Free tier and Pro
Snagbox is free to use for the first 50 saved items, with every feature available. Snagbox Pro removes the limit on how many items your library can hold.
If a subscription lapses or you never subscribe, nothing you have already saved is deleted or hidden. Your library stays readable, searchable and exportable; you simply cannot add new items beyond the free limit until Pro is active again.
Subscriptions and billing
- Pro subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your Apple Account, not by us. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may vary by region and change over time.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. The current paid period runs to its end; there is no partial refund for the unused part of a period except where the law requires one.
- You can restore purchases on a new device with Restore Purchases in the app, using the same Apple Account.
Lifetime purchase
The lifetime option is a single, non-renewing purchase that unlocks Pro for as long as the app is available on your Apple Account and remains supported. It is not a subscription; nothing renews and nothing is charged again. “Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the app, which we may discontinue as described under Availability and changes.
Free trials
Where a free trial is offered, it runs for the length shown at purchase — currently 7 days — and converts to a paid subscription at the price shown unless you cancel before it ends. Eligibility for a trial is determined by Apple, and any unused part of a trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during it.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly. Nothing here limits refund rights you have under consumer law in your country.
Your content
Everything you save in Snagbox is yours. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to it, and we have no access to it: it is stored on your device and, if you enable sync, in your own iCloud account.
Because your library is yours alone, you are responsible for backing it up. Use Settings › Export, iCloud sync, or an encrypted device backup. We cannot recover data lost to a deleted app, a lost or damaged device, a failed sync, or an accidental deletion.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Snagbox to:
- store or distribute material that is unlawful where you are, including content that infringes someone else’s copyright or other rights;
- circumvent technical protection measures, or save content you are not permitted to copy;
- interfere with the app’s operation, or with Apple’s or any third party’s systems, including the sites whose links you save;
- violate any applicable law or regulation.
You are solely responsible for what you save and for having the right to save it. Because we cannot see your library, enforcement of this section is necessarily limited to ending your licence to use the app.
Third-party services and links
Snagbox fetches previews from the web addresses you save, and relies on Apple (App Store, iCloud, In-App Purchase) and on RevenueCat for purchase management. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link saved in your library is not an endorsement of the site it points to.
Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue Snagbox or any of its features. Some features depend on services we do not control, including iCloud and the App Store, and may be unavailable at times. If we discontinue the app entirely, we will aim to give reasonable notice in a release so that you can export your library first.
We may amend these terms. The updated version is posted on this page with a new effective date, and continuing to use the app after that date means you accept it. If you do not accept a change, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.
Disclaimer of warranties
Snagbox is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that text recognition or link previews will be accurate, or that sync will always complete. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or loss of goodwill, arising out of your use of Snagbox. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Termination
You may stop using Snagbox at any time by deleting the app. Your licence ends automatically if you breach these terms. The sections on your content, disclaimers, liability and governing law survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the publisher is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country in which you live, and nothing here removes your right to bring proceedings there.
